“This is a fictionalized account at the end of times for the rapture. There are many signs and everybody sees them so there is time for them to come back to Jesus and God I like the characters in the story. They were very real and very compelling this took place in the year 2075 and humans were able to put their being or souls into a robot called humanoids which would guarantee them eternal life. I recommend this book for all readers.”

“I wasn't sure what to expect with this one. I was pleasantly surprised, within the first chapter I was hooked into the story. Fictional story based on historical (I say historical because the book takes place 50 yrs from now) figures in current situations with possible future outcomes (depending on what your beliefs are). That's the best description/interpretation I have without giving away a great story.“

“A Chilling, Fast-Paced Horror Novella in a Tech-Free Town”
“I picked up The Quiet Zone by Kevin Patrick Kane on a whim and I’m glad I did. This novella delivers exactly what it promises: a pulse-pounding sci-fi/horror story set in the real-life National Radio Quiet Zone in Green Bank, West Virginia.
Kane takes the unique premise of a town legally cut off from cell phones, Wi-Fi, and modern tech and flips it into something terrifying. When mysterious energy beings descend from the sky—looking deceptively innocent but bringing gruesome death—the isolated setting becomes both a sanctuary and a trap. The body horror elements are visceral and unsettling, and the desperate stand at the observatory makes for a tense, claustrophobic climax.
What I loved most is how Kane blends retro small-town vibes with supernatural horror and underlying themes of faith and resilience. It’s a quick read—perfect for an afternoon or evening—but it packs a surprising emotional punch. The characters are compelling enough for the short format, and the atmosphere is eerie and immersive.
If you enjoy horror with a sci-fi twist (think a mix of The Mist, small-town isolation stories, and faith-infused thrillers), this is a great pick. At the low Kindle price, it’s an easy recommendation. Looking forward to more from this author!
